25 Study Tips To Make Your Life Easier
I have trouble studying- especially when it comes to doing it efficiently and in an organised fashion -so I created this for those of you who are like me, and can’t make themselves bloody sit down and study without a pep-talk in the format of “it’s easier than you think”.

1.       Get rid of distractions. I.E. phone, laptop, TV, people, etc.
2.       Turn on music. Classical is recommended, and you can find my personal soundtrack/instrumental playlist here (this is available to listen to on Spotify), or my run of the mill, everyday playlist here.
3.       Use post-its, high lighters, and fun colored materials to make your notes and stuff more colorful and therefore more inviting to stare at for hours.
4.       Don’t eat too much. Recharge every once in a while with a healthy snack. For example, an apple or some cheese and crackers every hour.
5.       Use acronyms to assist with memorization.
6.       Take practice tests if they’re readily available and create your own study guides on the material if the teacher does not offer one.
7.       Take notes in an organized fashion. Use a system. I personally prefer the Cornell Notes method, because it provides it’s own system of repetition to help with memorizing facts and information and makes it easier to get the more important material down, rather than just scribbling down everything your instructor says. Here is a PDF that effectively teaches you how to take Cornell notes, and here is a video about overall note taking.
8.       Get comfortable. Study in a place that makes you feel comfortable and free from distraction or outside disruption. Sit at your desk, go to Starbucks, sprawl out of the floor, doesn’t matter, as long as it’s a place where you can get stuff done.
9.       Use diagrams for further understanding and to trigger the visual portion of your brain. 
10.    Teach the material to someone else. It could be your sibling, your parent, or even a stuffed animal. If you can successfully explain the material in a cohesive and eloquent manor without any “uh”s or “erm”s, you’ve got it down and you’re ready for that test. 
11.    Make up songs to memorize material. I’ve found this incredibly useful in the past as a musician because remembering lyrics and putting a melody to my own has always come naturally to me. For those of us who are musically inclined, this can be an incredibly useful tool.
12.    Use a method called chunking. Learn bits of material in small amounts of time. For example, technique for 15 minutes, vocabulary for another 15. Split your work into smaller bits to make it more manageable.
13.    Space and schedule study times. I do this a lot to prevent myself from feeling overwhelmed or procrastinating. That “Oh damn, I need to do this NOW” feeling is what really gets things done.
14.    Exercise every once in a while to keep your brain on the move.
15.    Get a tutor if you’re having major problems with learning and remembering and/or understanding the material. Always ask for help if you need it.
16.    Keep your study space clean, especially if this has a past of being a distraction. 
17.    Keep your supplies/papers/tools/files organized. Nobody learns well in a cluttered environment. 
18.    DO NOT PROCRASTINATE.
19.    Create a learning ritual. A soothing, distraction free environment in which it is easy to focus and absorb information. Try to enjoy the ride. 
20.    Use the web method to brainstorm topics and ideas for essays/reports/etc.
21.    When taking notes, focus on what your instructor is saying or showing to you. There is nothing worse than the realization you get prior to a lecture that you have been scribbling notes about something for an hour and a half, yet you don’t remember any of it, how it connects, or what it means. It is better to absorb information, digest it, and ask questions than to frantically attempt to write it down and lose sight of what exactly you’re learning.
22.    Make sure that the format of your essays and other assignments are 100% perfect. Even if you think you know it’s right, check anyway. That’s a really stupid reason to get points docked off an assignment.
23.    USE FLASH CARDS
24.    Keep all of your materials together and easy to access when studying. If you have a billion pages of notes on the material that you have to study, make it easier on yourself and try not to have them at all for corners of the Earth.
25 Create a rewards system to keep yourself motivated.

Reasons To Improve Your Lifestyle
At times, I find it extremely difficult to find the right motivation and inspiration to build and sustain healthy habits. I made a list for myself and altered it a bit in the hopes that maybe putting it out there could help you as well. 

·         There are millions of people who are starving right this second and they would kill to have access to such bountiful amounts of such healthy foods as you.
·         You have absolutely 0 excuse not to. Laziness is unacceptable. 
·         Discipline is an incredibly valuable skill and quality that will prove to be even more useful and beneficial in the future 
·         Don’t you want to look like a movie star/Victoria’s Secret model? 
·         Eating healthy makes your body smell, look, and.. taste.. better so DO IT
·         Good hygiene, eating habits, and exercise routines lead to a more attractive body and a longer life 
·         Exercise to live a longer life to spend with family, friends, spouses, and children  
·         Exercising and healthy diet makes you a good role model for your siblings and your future children 
·         It’s super attractive to most anyone when you take care of yourself by feeding yourself healthy food and doing things to keep yourself in shape 
·         Exercise and healthy eating has proven to lift your mood and promotes overall positivity 
·         You can use exercise as the alternative to medications and therapy for anxiety. depression, and many other mental illnesses.
·         Exercise and healthy diet can prevent and slow the effects of nearly any disease as an alternative or addition to prescription drugs and expensive medical treatments 
·         Exercise makes you stronger and more able bodied to complete daily tasks and defend yourself against predators, AKA it makes you more of a bad ass and more comfortable as a singular human being to protect yourself 
·         Exercise boosts your daily energy in order to promote creativity, motivation, and ability to be awake and alert longer. 
·         Exercise promotes memory storage in the brain making it easy for you to retain learned and studied information in school, benefiting your overall studying career 
·         Exercise promotes healthy habits and paves the way toward being able to do anything you set your mind to 
·         Exercise is a mindset that promotes individual empowerment and the willingness to love and take care of yourself, inevitably resulting in a longer and happier life
