ONE BILLION RISING-No more abuses or excuses

Comment: People tend to have this doe-eyed vision of multiculturalism. When they think of multiculturalism they think about exchanging cuisines, languages, music, dancing, fashion etc. Who could be opposed to that? Thing is, there is a lot more to culture than that. It's also how you view the rule of law, about corruption and playing fair, about the value of human life, about the role and status of women in your society, etc. That doesn't just vanish because you happen to move to a very liberal country.
What they've effectively done is invited millions of people who would be considered more extreme than the far right by European standards into a very liberal society.
Going under the assumption that you can just mix your very liberal culture and another very conservative culture, and still end up keeping your very liberal culture when the immigrants have no desire to properly integrate, is absolute folly

The Police Chief and Home Secretary of Cologne were complicit in covering up the events, and the Police Chief was caught lying publicly and contradicted by his own Police Force and Police Reports. You ought to consider that he belongs to a party on the far-left as well, so he unquestionably has motive to lie.

The gang rape of two girls (14,15) in Weil am Rhein is missing. It is at the end of the articlehttp://www.tagesschau.de/inland/uebergriffe-105.html - And one of the rapists was 14 years old!

This is a collective thread for these incidents which are being reported as possibly coordinated and having been committed by groups of male immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa.
If you have any reports from other cities, please share them with us.
Additional reports have come in from:

Latest reports:

This does not only happen in bigger cities.
Think this might be happening on so many more places then we actually think.
Edit: So the article says that a group of men surrounded girls in central Kalmar and sexually molested them. Majority of the women they sexually molested were younger then 18. The group of men did not understand Swedish nor any much English.

Best comment:
Nope, not gonna happen. At best, some police chief nobody's ever heard about gets the boot. Every journalist and politician is going tsk-tsk, conveniently forgetting who was lambasting the cops for publishing "racist witness statements", and how imperative it was to not play into the fears of the far right. And nobody is going to object. The police is like an abused dog when it comes to the media. It wants to be loved so very badly, yet it keeps shitting on the carpet, and gets to taste the humiliating sting of the rolled up newspaper.
That is not to say that our police force is otherwise perfect, because it certainly isn't. It has problems with how it allocates personnel, how it operates, how it deals with internal criticism, and so many other things. But in this case, they likely did what they did because they had been hounded to do so. For all of us, damned for doing would have been better, but pretending this came out of nowhere is bullshit.
I feel sorry for the cops on the street, who are top-ridden by amateur politicians trying to catch a fair wind in the media. I feel angry for the victims, who were let down by just about every level of society, not just the cops. The Swedish national television broke this on their homepage just after it happened. Nobody else gave a shit about the story. Not enough to dig beyond the official police statement, anyway, despite being tipped off by people on the ground.

Cologne police report describes ‘chaotic and shameful’ mass sex attack

http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/8aee44f0e0a3d691e9438b1e20845362?s=34&d=mm
Police in Cologne, Germany, were overwhelmed by groups of men attacking women in the city center on New Year’s Eve, according to a leaked report.
An unidentified senior official who wrote the report for Germany’s national police described a “chaotic and shameful” evening in which a lack of officers at the scene meant those there “reached the limits of their abilities pretty quickly,” according to Der Spiegel, which obtained a copy of the report.
“Women, accompanied or not, literally ran a ‘gauntlet’ through masses of heavily intoxicated men that words cannot describe,” the official wrote.
The report contradicts the Cologne police department’s initial depiction of the night as “relaxed,” a description that has since been recanted. Authorities now say that more than 100 women have filed criminal complaints of sexual assault – including two reported rapes – or thefts during the festivities that evening, according to the Associated Press.
Roughly 1,000 men described by officials as being largely of “Arab or North African origin” had congregated in the square outside Cologne station that night, with groups reportedly breaking off to assault women. Victims described a sense of lawlessness that evening as criminals flouted the law even with police present.
“They grabbed our arms… pushed our clothes away, and tried to get between our legs or I don’t know where,” one victim told the BBC News.

Another said attackers put a firecracker in her hood as they stole her phone.
“I heard a sizzling sound in my hood and I somehow tried to get it out of the hood,” she said. “Then it fell into my jacket and burned everything. The scars will stay. I was lucky that it didn’t explode.”
The report obtained by Der Spiegel seemed to corroborate the sense that the attackers, repeatedly described as groups of male migrants, felt that they had the run of areas in front of and inside the train station.
The report describes officers encountering crying, frightened pedestrians, many of them women and girls. Officers reported that their orders were ignored, that they were “bombarded with fireworks and pelted with glass bottles,” and that witnesses were threatened when they named the perpetrators, according to Der Spiegel.
The author of the report noted a level of disrespect for police “like I have never experienced in my 29 years of public service.”
Cologne was not the only European city to see trouble on New Year’s Eve.

Police in Helsinki, Finland said that 15 Iraqi asylum seekers were taken into custody amid allegations of groping and harassing women near the city’s central railway station on New Year’s Eve. Ilkka Koskimäki, Deputy Police Chief of the Helsinki Police Department, said three women had filed complaints, alleging they had been kissed and touched against their will.
The situation, he said, might have been worse had police not received a tip that groups of Iraqi asylum seekers were planning disturbances that night, leading the Helsinki police to deploy far more officers than usual.
Attacks were reported elsewhere in Germany, too, including in Hamburg and Stuttgart, according to the BBC.
Cologne, however, saw the largest wave of assaults. Due to the overwhelming number of attacks, officials have few leads on the attackers, according to the report. “Security forces were unable to get all of the incidents, assaults, crimes, etc. under control. There were simply too many happening at the same time,” its author writes.

Authorities have, however, described the men as being largely of “Arab or North African origin.” According to the report, at least one officer quoted a man as saying: “I’m a Syrian! You have to treat me kindly! Mrs. Merkel invited me.”
Germany took in a record 1.1 million asylum-seekers last year, driven largely by migrants from Syria. Officials have warned against blaming all refugees for the New Year’s Eve incidents, but added that deportation is on the table for any asylum-seekers found to be involved.
“We must examine again and again whether we have already done what is necessary in terms of . . . deportations from Germany in order to send clear signals to those who are not prepared to abide by our legal order,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
She also described the assaults as “repugnant.”
“The feeling women had in this case of being at people’s mercy, without any protection, is intolerable for me personally as well,” she said. “And so it is important for everything that happened there to be put on the table.”

Israelis are not terrorists
Re: ‘One Man’s Terrorist …,’ letter to the editor, Jan. 7.
I believe that letter-writer Bernie Smith would enlighten himself by doing a slow scan of history predating the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.
By doing so, he may learn that Jewish defence groups such as the Irgun and Lehi waged a justified war against the British army governing Palestine during their mandate, and not the Arab civilian population living in Palestine. This is in stark contrast to the killing of civilian Jews by Arab terrorists prior to and after 1948.
The conduct of the British army towards the Jews during the mandate years was despicable and tyrannical. At the same, the British army made every effort to appease the Arab population. The British army placed restrictions on Jews buying land contrary to the mandate, they placed strict limits on Jewish immigration thereby stranding hundreds of thousands of Jews in Europe, (many of whom were ultimately killed in gas chambers) and they made no effort to stop Arabs from attacking Jews during the many Arab riots of the era.
Michael Harari, Toronto.
The Haganah, the Israeli army, never had the Irgun as an offshoot. They tried to shut it down. Calling the Haganah a terrorist organization is like calling the Canadian army a terrorist organization because it fought against the French and Indian tribes.
The Irgun of course did acts of terror, but not against the civilian population. They attacked the British who were at that point determined to give the land mandated to Jews to the Arab population. The Irgun did not attack Arab civilians.
Real terrorists are those that kill civilians. Hamas is a terrorist organization because it bombs civilians in Israeli cities. Palestinians who stab defenceless citizens in the streets of Israel are terrorists. Since 20 per cent of Israelis are Arabs who live peacefully in Israel, it is obvious that Israelis are not terrorists.
Jonathan Usher, Toronto.
Your letter-writer states that, “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.” Nothing could be further from the truth. If terrorism is to mean anything, it has to mean the deliberate targeting of innocent and defenceless citizens. Two examples that were given are the King David Hotel bombing in Jerusalem in 1946, and Deir Yassin in 1948.
The King David Hotel was being occupied by the British military and was the site of the British military command, clearly a military target. That the British would locate their headquarters in a hotel reserved for civilian use is telling as to the British strategy. Hamas used a similar stratagem in Gaza in its 2014 war with Israel in locating military operations in civilian areas.
In the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, Arab villagers in Deir Yassin were engaged in the Arab war effort against Israel. The Arabs occupied fortified positions in stone buildings. As a consequence of the fierce gunfire directed from the houses, Arabs were killed in the course of the fighting. Men, women and children who surrendered were taken prisoner and came to no harm.

BLOG: Canada Military News: Trump is interesting in his honesty- Mainstream Media is so 'roadkill' pretend.... that Donald Trump is being listened to by billions... refreshing... frightening... BUT refreshing political sidebar

-----------

When did mainstream media become so listless and pretend?
Quotes:
“I became a journalist because I did not want to rely on newspapers for information.”
Christopher Hitchens

“(O)n a whole range of issues, there has been a massive popular shift in public opinion toward a progressive critique of the current political economic system. It is, of course, largely subliminal, not carefully worked out, and lacks a coherent vision for what needs to be done -- but there can be little doubt that this shift has happened, and is deepening. People are increasingly disenchanted, and they are hungry for alternatives.”- Ahmed

It’s becoming obvious to most that mainstream media is nothing but a megaphone for the global elite to present biased news that’s designed to align the masses with their agenda.”-Morcan

QUOTE: The behind the scenes machinations of big money and politics are so well hidden from most of the population, that if people actually knew how things were really run, we would quite literally have a second revolution overnight. Henry Ford knew this well when he said, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

“I decide to scope out craigslist to see all the vibrant economic employment opportunities available to me in this depression. Oh, I’m sorry, I mean “recession.” No matter how many millions of jobs are lost, how much debt our country accrues, or how many years the stagnation drags on, it’s not a depression until the dogmatic media officially declares it to be a depression. It’s as if they believe by repeatedly printing or saying economists are afraid the economy will slip back into a recession, they’ll fool the masses of unemployed or underemployed into believing that not only are we not in a depression, but we aren’t even in a recession. I’m sure the millions of unemployed, freshly graduated college kids who have thousands of dollars of unshakable debt to pay off feel comforted by the empty repetition.”
Jarod Kintz, Gosh, I probably shouldn't publish this.

Letters: Aboriginals form just a part of Canada’s story

Re: Big Plan On Campus: ‘Indigenization’ Courses, Dec. 21.
At the recent Group of 20 business and labour panel discussion, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said “a country should not be defined by national identity, or ethnicity, or language, or background but on values.”

Contrary to this informed prescription to pursue ethnically neutral values, some Canadian universities are now favouring aboriginals with compulsory course study. This has the worrisome potential of atomizing academia into a competing vertical mosaic of privilege. Succumbing to trending social convention by promoting pedagogical inequality and social discord under the fallacious guise of addressing prejudice is unworthy of any higher institution’s serious consideration. The prime minister’s words ought not be discounted.
Arthur Ellis, Winnipeg.

If history is to be taught once again as a compulsory course in our education system it should represent the broad history of Canada, including all ethnicities who contributed to the prosperity of this country. History is not static. People from all over the world have come here for decades and built a better life and a more prosperous Canada. More arrive every day. They still celebrate their individual cultures, but in a broader context.
This fixation with aboriginals who also migrated across the previous northern land mass seems out of proportion. Notwithstanding the Indian Act, it is unwise and unfair to promote any one culture, especially as the leaders insist it be kept secular. It is not simply a matter of who arrived first. Integration is promoted as a Canadian value. Surely it is the escalating singular obsessive Liberal acclamation of aboriginal culture that causes acrimony? All the myriad races of people who have contributed to Canada deserve an equal place in the factual telling of Canada’s history.
Carol Joseph, Burlington, Ont.
